1965 - 1966 Blohm & Voss in Germany delivered Hood River Valley and Okanagan Valley equipped with one 8 - cylinder two - stroke single-acting MAN - diesel K8Z 70/120D delivering 9600 hp.
1968 San Joaquin Valley and Aconcagua Valley was delivered from Wärtsiläs Shipyard in Åbo, Finland, equipped with two 16 - cylinder four - stroke Wärtsilä built Pielstick - engine delivering 15000 hp. Length o.a:154,08 m. Beam: 21 m. Draft summer: 8,84 m.
