In 1947 three Libertyships of C2-types was purchased, USS Alcyone, USS Betelguse and USS Arcturus  to the new started Far East route, after Johnson Line bought the ship Star was added in fronts of the names. Those 3 ships was built 1939 for Moore Mac Cormack Line as Mormachawk, Mormacgull and Mormaclark, and was purchased by the Navy 1940-1941. The Far East route started 1948 together with Everett Steamship Corporation. The ship was renamed to Star Alcyone, Star Betelguse and Star Arcturus. 1950 Bohéme was purchased from Rederi AB Soya and renamed to Thai and Tosca was purchased from Rederi AB Walenco and renamed to  Lao. In 1958 Capetan Cardamelitis was purchased and renamed to Star Bellatrix.
    1963 Kensington was purchased and renamed to Star Aldebaran and 1965  Vimeira was purchased and renamed to Star Altair.1963 Solholt was purchased  ( Built as Ivaran) and renamed to Star Antares.                  
    1969 Heering Susan was purchased and renamed to Star Procyon and 1971 Heering Lotte was purchased and renamed to Star Alcyone.
    1976  Aristomacbos and Aristeides was purchased and renamed to  Star Alcyone and Star Procyon.
    1979 the Far East route was ended.

    Built at AG Weser Seebeck in Bremerhaven, Germany, as new construction, hull number 920 for Cherry Herring Line in Kopenhaven as Herring Susan. She was delivered 1 January 1967. She was equipped with one Burmeister & Wain/Krupp 7-74VT2BF-160 delivering 7.722 kW. at 115 rpm. Hon inköptes av Johnson och dess Panamabolag Compania Navigera de Paloma i December 1968. Resold 19 June 1974 to TTM, Mexico (Transportacion Maritima Mexicana SA de CV) and renamed to Elena and registered in Panama. 12 February 1979 she caught fire in hold at Salina Cruz, the damage was not serious. 1979 transfered to Pluto Ltd, Bermuda and renamed to Samia. In May 1981 transfered to TMM, Mexico and renamed to Jalapa and registered in Mexico. 18 March 1984 she get Turbo-charger damage on main engine in Fortaleza on voyage from Santos to San Juan, Peru. Arrived Emden 14 July 1984 for drydocking and repairs. Sailed 9 August 1984 for Antwerp for completion. Final dispostion, sold for scrapping, arrived at An Hsiung Iron & Steel Co.,Kaohsiung, Taiwan 9 October 1986 for dismantling. The scrapping commenced 20 October 1986.The scrapping was completed 30 October 1986. She weighed 15.600 Dw.tons.

She was launched 1 November 1975 and delivered 1 February 1976. She was equipped with one Mitsui 7K62EF delivering 7.649 kW. at 155 rpm. Purchased by Johnson Line 1976 and 28 November 1979 resold to COSCO, Shanghai (China Ocean Shipping Co) and renamed to Xiang Cheng.  Her signal letters is  BOBB.
