was one ro/ro - ship bought, Qatar Express as Johnson Lines ship in Stream
Line - consortium: Johnson Line, Effoa and Royal Mail Line with traffic between
Northern Europe and Central America/West India. As Johnson Lines vessel she was
renamed to Nordic
Stream. One sister ship,
Atlantic Stream was bought at the same time with Johnson Line as 50% owner, she
was registered in Norway.
1985
was two modern ro/ro-ships delivered at 24.000 tons from Japan to traffic La
Plata for the line consortium RoSA Line (Rosa), a consortium together with
Wilh.Wilhelmsen (Wilhelmsen Line) and Effoa (Finncarriers). The first ship Rosa
Blanca get Swedish flag and the sister ship Rosa
Tucano get Norwegian flag.
Johnson Lines shares were 44 %. The bill for this two ship was including.
3.500 containers, forklifts, tug masters, trailers, etc. was 750 million SEK.
In
1986 an organization was formed for the collective Nordic South America traffic
consisting of Laser Lines (Latin American Services) owned by Johnson Line with
70% interest, Finncarries (Effoa) with 20%, and Wilh. Wilhelmsen with 10%. Laser
Line markets and administrates the Nordic ships owner’s activities in the
Laser Stream, Laser RoSA and Laser Eurosal consortium.
